Apple users have been warned by the Indian government’s cybersecurity watchdog, CERT-In, about a security flaw affecting Safari versions. The vulnerability, named CVE-2023-32439, lets remote attackers execute arbitrary codes on targeted systems because of a type of confusion error in the WebKit component. An attacker could exploit this by persuading users to open a specially crafted file or app. iOS 16.5.1 fixed two critical security flaws, one of which had been reportedly used in targeted hacking in Russia.
