Meta has announced it will remove news content from Facebook and Instagram in Canada, ahead of new legislation requiring internet companies to pay news publishers. The country’s Senate has approved the data law, which requests the likes of Google and Facebook to negotiate financial deals with news outlets and publish related news stories.
